The episode begins with Abhira taking her exam. Armaan, worried, wonders if Ruhi has revealed their secret. He rushes home. Meanwhile, Ruhi is on a video call with Suwarna and Surekha, explaining that some family members have accepted her relationship with Armaan and that once Dadisa agrees, everyone else will follow.
She urges them to convince Manish. Just then, Manish arrives and asks what they are discussing. Armaan storms in, yelling for Ruhi. Manish tells Ruhi that she has no future with Armaan and that they aren’t meant to be together. Suwarna interjects, saying that Ruhi has spoken to Vidya, who has agreed to the match, and asks Manish to approve the relationship. Manish questions if Armaan has agreed to marry Ruhi.
Armaan confronts Ruhi, upset that she acted prematurely. Ruhi defends herself, saying she waited for a long time. They argue, with Armaan emphasizing his family’s importance and Ruhi asserting that no one understands that better than her. She reveals she spoke to his mother and took on the responsibility of dealing with her anger and hatred.
Armaan apologizes, but Ruhi says it’s unnecessary, revealing his mother has no issues with their relationship. Armaan is frustrated that Ruhi didn’t consult him first. Ruhi counters that he never made time for her, recalling multiple attempts to reach him. She mentions that Dadi was planning to send him to Delhi and stresses that their relationship should involve joint decisions.
Armaan mentions that Abhira told him about the situation. Ruhi remembers Abhira’s words. Meanwhile, Sanjay insists that Charu should get married soon, but Charu refuses. He scolds her, saying the children don’t understand what’s right. Charu retorts that he hasn’t done enough for them, and Sanjay angrily declares she doesn’t deserve his efforts.
Charu stands firm, refusing the marriage and leaving. Sanjay laments that the children have forgotten his anger. Dadi suggests they should make Charu leave the house, and Sanjay shows her some papers, indicating that Charu will leave today. Dadi agrees, and they both smile.
Back at home, Armaan reflects on his past with Abhira, acknowledging that their marriage was a sham, but he still feels the need to be honest about his relationship with Ruhi.
Abhira packs her bags. Armaan comes in and says, “You shouldn’t leave right now.” She responds, “This relationship is over. By what right should I stay here?” He insists, “You are my wife; we are married on paper.
She scoffs, “Wow, Armaan gets the caring husband award.” He demands, “Stop it. I need to tell you about Ruhi and me.” She cuts him off, “I don’t want to know.” He persists, “The truth is, Ruhi and I…” They are interrupted and called downstairs.
Dadi presents a plate with papers and rose petals. Armaan examines the papers, which are for the annulment of their marriage. Sanjay declares, “You both are no longer husband and wife.” Everyone is shocked. Sanjay tells Abhira, “Pack your bags and leave.
” Abhira retorts, “You’re eager to make me leave, but I’m even more eager. I’m done packing. I’m leaving.” Armaan protests, “You won’t go.” She asserts, “I’m not your wife.” Madhav pleads, “Don’t leave now. Go in the morning. I promise I won’t ask you to stay.” Abhira nods, then taunts Dadi.
Dadi instructs Armaan, “Remove Abhira’s mangalsutra.” Abhira interjects, “I can remove it myself.” Dadi insists, “You both have no relation now. You will remember how Armaan cast you out like a thorn.” Armaan struggles to remove the mangalsutra and feels hurt.
Dadi chides, “Can’t you remove a mangalsutra?” Armaan replies, “I’m trying; it’s not coming off.” Dadi demands, “Is this your plan? Do it fast.” Armaan pulls and breaks it. Abhira is saddened. She holds his hand and says, “Wipe off the sindoor too.”
As the song “Hamesha Tumko Chaha” plays, Armaan complies. Abhira goes to her room, recalls everything that happened, and pours a jug of water over her head, crying. She removes her bangles. Armaan, in distress, says, “I couldn’t maintain a fake marriage; how will I keep a real one?” He worries.
