The episode starts with Anirudh asking, “Did this ever happen before?” Jhanak replies, “I don’t know, it felt like it did, so I mentioned it.” He recalls his conversation with Arshi. Jhanak asks him to wear the ring. Anirudh responds, “You make me wear it.
” She hesitates, “No, you wear it yourself.” He insists, “You made Arshi wear the ring too, so you make me wear it.” She says, “I don’t know which finger it will fit.” He encourages her, “Try.” She gently slips the ring on his finger as “Ye Raina” plays in the background.
Anirudh vows, “I will never remove this ring.” She smiles and says, “It’s enough if you wear it a few times.” He replies, “I will wear this until I’m alive.” She expresses her pride, and he assures her, “I’m not saying this to make you feel good, I’m saying this because I mean it.” She says, “I want to greet you for the last time.” He asks, “Why?” She pleads, “Please.” She bows down and touches his feet, and they both cry.
He asks, “Won’t you feel bad about leaving?” She admits, “Yes, I will feel bad for Appu.” He questions, “Just Appu?” She lists, “Anjana, Choton, Bablu… I’ve grown attached to them.” He probes further, “Just them, no one else?” He challenges her, “You don’t have the courage to tell the truth.” She responds, “It’s not necessary to tell the truth; you’ve already explained it to me.
” He wishes her well, “I hope you take care of yourself there. My friend’s cousin will help you. Beware of Tejas; I’m worried about sending you to a risky place.” She reassures him, “No, nothing will happen to me. I will be fine. You’ll be going on a pre-wedding honeymoon. Come to my city; I’ll come to meet you.” He gets angry and hits his hand on the wall. She rushes to stop him, “What are you doing?”
She informs him of his injury. He expresses remorse and concern. She decides to leave, but he pleads for her to stay. She insists on departing due to early morning commitments and the stress of catching a train. He accuses her of being heartless and loving someone else. She questions his frequent remarks and intentions. He deflects, urging her to call if needed and promising her departure won’t be necessary. She reassures him but he cynically remarks on her presumed love for another.
Jhanak advises him not to hurt Arshi and to care for her. Irritated, he dismisses her counsel. Jhanak tearfully acknowledges his love for Arshi and wishes them well before leaving. He stops her, but says nothing. Jhanak urges him to rest for work, then departs. Alone, he breaks down, confessing his inability to live without her. Meanwhile, she retreats to her room, grappling with conflicting emotions.
The next morning, Jhanak prepares for the day and receives warm wishes from the family. Dadi encourages her to focus on her own life and family. Dadu acknowledges her unappreciated contributions to the family and expresses gratitude, emphasizing her importance in his life.
Appu: I’ve hidden your shoes, you can’t leave.Jhanak: I’ll come back for your wedding.Appu: Stop lying, Mom and Dad won’t marry me off.Jhanak: You’ll find a good man and start a family. Don’t cry, Mom, I’m your daughter.Anjana: Never give up, I want all your dreams to come true.
Shubh: Enough of this, it’s time for the train.Jhanak: I’ll cherish these memories. I promise to reach the station on time and never return here.Tanuja: A promise is important.
Jhanak: I won’t return until Appu’s wedding.Bipasha: There’s no need for you to come back.Jhanak: Why are you afraid of me?
Choton: Let’s go.Anirudh: I’ll drop you.Jhanak: You don’t have to.Anirudh: I insist. Let’s go.
Jhanak bids farewell. Appu tries to stop her, crying, and hugs her. Anirudh comforts Appu, saying Jhanak won’t come back, but she’ll always be with her in spirit. He watches Jhanak leave, urging Appu not to cry. Appu protests, but Jhanak leaves.
