The episode begins with Tanuja declaring that Jhanak has no status. Bipasha apologizes but points out that Anirudh has changed. Arshi adds that the change is for the better. Shubh mentions that once the document is signed, everything will be fine, emphasizing that only Arshi understands Anirudh. Arshi nods, acknowledging Anirudh’s habit of helping everyone. She also mentions his attachment to Jhanak. Tanuja insists they shouldn’t discuss Jhanak.
Arshi counters that the topic will keep coming up because of the humiliation she endured. Bipasha advises her to forget it. Lal brings Anirudh in. Shubh states they want to ensure no complications arise. Bipasha reminds Anirudh that his rasam is tomorrow, followed by the marriage, and they don’t want any third person interfering. Anirudh assures there’s no one else.
Tanuja affirms his loyalty to Arshi. Shubh says he’ll let the lawyer handle the details, indicating they’re all busy. Anirudh asks what’s going on. Shubh explains they need to nullify his marriage with Jhanak to avoid any issues. Anirudh asks what he needs to do. Shubh instructs him and Jhanak to sign a document. Tanuja says once he marries Arshi, Jhanak can’t interfere. Jhanak enters and says she’s going to prepare dinner. Arshi says they’re discussing something important.
Shubh reminds them of Anirudh’s rasam tomorrow and the need to sign a document, as per the pandit’s instructions in Srinagar, to prevent future issues. Anirudh looks at Jhanak, hoping she won’t sign. Jhanak thinks she’ll sign if Anirudh does. Shubh clarifies the document is a decree of nullity of marriage, requiring their signatures. Jhanak agrees to sign and goes to set the dinner table.
The next morning, Jhanak prepares food. Anjana remarks that Jhanak’s dish is ready. Jhanak mentions she wanted to make Rogan josh too. Dadi and Dadu welcome guests. Bablu arrives. Dadi asks him to take the sweets, but Dadu claims they’re for him. Dadi refuses, reminding him he can’t have sweets. Shubra asks when the rasams will start.
Dadi says the girl’s family is coming soon. Bablu insists he won’t let Shubra leave early. Dadi mentions her Nanand is coming, calling her a tigress, and decides to wait for her. Shubra goes to meet Anjana, who compliments the girls. Jhanak serves snacks and greets Shubra before leaving.
Anjana comments on Jhanak’s presence despite the problem, but dismisses it. Guests ask about Jhanak’s wedding video, and Anjana distracts them. Dadu announces his sister’s arrival. Dadi jokes about the long wait. Ginni compliments Tanuja, who instructs Anjana to serve tea to her relatives and inquires about Jhanak. Anjana replies that Jhanak is serving snacks to the guests, and they leave.
Jhanak approaches Anjana and says, “Whoever comes over today will gossip, and Arshi will feel bad.” Anjana replies, “I’m sorry you’re feeling bad too.” Jhanak responds, “This won’t end as long as I’m here.” Anjana reassures her, “Anirudh said he will make arrangements for your stay.” Jhanak insists, “Why? I’m not his responsibility. I’ll manage; you and Appu are with me.” Anjana says, “You aren’t well.” Jhanak counters, “I’m fine.
” Anjana, with concern, says, “I’m a mother; I know when a child is sick or sad.” Jhanak thinks to herself, “I’m unable to eat anything; I have to leave from here.” Anjana suggests, “Have some food. I know you haven’t eaten since morning.” Jhanak refuses, “No, I’m not hungry.” Anjana asks, “Why?” Jhanak says, “I’ll eat later. I’ll go serve tea to the guests.” Anjana agrees, “Okay, I’ll make poori for Anirudh.”
Jhanak takes tea for everyone and serves it to them. Dadu asks Jhanak to get ready. Dadi adds, “Wear good clothes.” Jhanak replies, “The clothes will get spoiled because I’m working.” Dadi asks Bablu to take the guests upstairs.
Anirudh calls Arshi and asks, “Where are you? Fine, you’re coming in 2 minutes.” Jhanak comes in and almost collides with him. He angrily argues. She offers him tea. He informs her, “Arshi and her family are coming.” Jhanak asks, “What can I do?” He replies, “Serve them well.” She agrees, and they go downstairs. Shubh gets a document and places it on the table.
Shubh tells his relatives about Anirudh and Jhanak’s story. He explains, “We found out they got married against their will. This girl isn’t up to our family’s standard; she’s a distant relative of Shrishti. Some of our relatives aren’t rich; it’s a fact. Anirudh is committed to Arshi; they love each other a lot. Jhanak is interested in dance. Once Arshi gets married, this girl will leave. I want their marriage to be annulled.”
