The episode begins with Pakhi expressing her feelings, “When Mom wasn’t here for five years, our lives were smooth sailing. But since she’s returned, everything has turned into chaos.
” She implores Anupama to sign the NOC if she truly cares about them, even a little. Dimpy intervenes, urging Pakhi to stop. Kavya questions if they’re truly Anupama’s children or if there was a mix-up at the hospital.
Anuj steps in, describing how the children have been the same since childhood, comparing them to a dog’s tail—unchanging. He acknowledges their mistakes but defends Anupama’s selfless nature, contrasting it with others who shout and vent out their frustrations.
Vanraj dismisses Anuj’s comments, suggesting he go home and chant Anupama’s praises there. Anuj asserts that despite being Anupama’s children, they lack her qualities but have inherited Vanraj’s traits.
Anuj declares his support for Anupama, which angers Aadhya, who feels Vanraj can harm anyone due to his loyalty to Anupama. Vanraj presses Anupama to sign and end the matter, mentioning property shares and suggesting Kavya have a backup plan if she can’t return to Anuj due to Aadhya. Anuj defends Anupama’s independence, stating she doesn’t need anyone’s help. Anupama, visibly upset, watches Vanraj, Toshu, and Pakhi leave.
Kavya consoles Anupama, advising her not to take their harsh words to heart. Anupama tearfully expresses her inability to see her parents in an old-age home, deeply affected by the family’s turmoil. Aadhya, upset, walks away.
Elsewhere, Titu discusses his plans to leave for Mumbai with Dimpy, explaining his commitment to securing Ansh’s future, now considering him his son. Dimpy insists on Ansh’s rightful share, stressing his status as Samar’s son. Titu defends his stance, emphasizing that the house belongs to Baa and Babuji.
Anupama approaches Aadhya with khichdi, trying to comfort her. Aadhya, however, lashes out, accusing Anupama of creating chaos in everyone’s lives, including her own children and ex-husbands. She blames Anupama for manipulating Vanraj and ruining relationships, crowning her with a metaphorical tiara of being a home-wrecker and happiness-destroyer.
Anupama quietly removes the tiara, thanking Aadhya for her honesty. She acknowledges her mistakes but stands firm in her love for her children, willing to bear their anger and pain. Anupama reflects on the sacrifices mothers make and their enduring love despite everything.
“She tells him about Anuj and me, ‘I don’t owe you any explanation. The whole world knows how deeply we love each other.’ She acknowledges that love isn’t always enough, mentioning the impact of the accident and his father’s hurtful words that led her to leave, unsure of what to do. She admits her mistake in leaving and expresses deep regret, unable to forgive herself.
She addresses his resentment over saving Pari first, showing a flashback of the accident and her heroic act, emphasizing it wasn’t about favoritism. She reassures him she never intended to come between him and his father and only wishes for his happiness.
Anupama agrees, and Aadhya asks if she’ll follow her instructions. Anupama reluctantly agrees, prompting Aadhya to demand she leave her father’s life. Anuj arrives as Aadhya questions her sincerity and threatens self-harm if her demands aren’t met.
Anupama tries to reason with Aadhya, who insists she promise never to reunite with Anuj. An emotional Anupama promises to sever ties with him for their sake. Anuj, unaware, decides to take Anupama to the US, hoping to reunite their family.
Anupama declines, wanting Anuj and Shruti to be happy without interference. Aadhya makes Anupama swear not to contact Anuj in any way, despite her disappointment in Aadhya’s actions, promising to keep her word as a mother.
Anuj, believing nothing can keep him from reuniting with Anupama, searches for her, assuming she’s with the children. Meanwhile, Anupama hides, heartbroken and in tears.”
