Shruti asks Anuj if they should depart. Anuj inquires of Anupama whether she intends to stay or accompany them. Anupama replies, “There are people here, and I have work to do, so I’ll stay back.” Anuj nods understandingly and turns to leave with Shruti. He glances back at Anupama, who is smiling, and then departs. Dimpy and Kavya enter the room, noting that they still can’t sleep. They admire the gifts sent by Titu for the shagun.
Dimpy reveals that Titu got her these items, remarking that if he had a family, they might have gifted her similar things. Kavya admires the necklace, saree, and clothes. Dimpy questions why Titu bought such an expensive necklace. Kavya responds, “If he won’t spend money on you, then on whom will he spend?” Pakhi arrives and dismisses the gifts as temporary pleasures. She reminisces about Adhik’s lavish gifts before marriage, which later ceased.
Pakhi urges Kavya to observe Toshu and Anupama’s situation. Kavya recalls Samar’s unwavering support for Dimpy during her mistakes, contrasting it with Toshu and Anupama’s behavior. She reminds Dimpy of her mother’s advice to avoid assuming the worst and to focus on self-healing. Pakhi exits the room, visibly upset.
Toshu is disgruntled that Anupama offered him a waiter’s job, expressing to Kinjal his disbelief at being asked to perform servant’s duties. Kinjal explains that it was their mother’s decision, noting that their mother used to handle all the household chores. She emphasizes that Anupama is giving him an opportunity, and assures him that she will handle any mistakes.
Aadhya inquires about the restaurant’s inauguration, and Shruti responds positively. Aadhya predicts that Anupama will now be occupied with restaurant affairs. Anuj retrieves the medicines and hands them to Shruti, who remarks on the quantity. Anuj admits he mistakenly thought he had brought the medicine organizer. Aadhya fetches it, prompting Anuj to contemplate Yashdeep’s emotions and crush the medicines.
Vanraj erupts, questioning Anuj’s audacity after his conversation with Toshu. He informs Baa and Babu ji that Anupama offered Toshu a waiter’s job. Pakhi expresses outrage, echoing Vanraj’s sentiments. Baa laments Anupama‘s fall from grace. Vanraj accuses her of attempting to disgrace him, while Babu ji counters that even a watchman’s job would be a good opportunity for Toshu.
Vanraj insists Anupama has overstepped her bounds, sparking a heated argument. He argues that if Toshu becomes a waiter, they will become a laughingstock. Babu ji praises his daughter’s efforts, but Vanraj is firm that his son will not take such a job.
Anuj, feeling distressed and agitated, retreats to his room, reflecting on Yashdeep’s proposal and Anupama’s potential acceptance. Beeji encourages Yashdeep to go and propose to Anupama. Yashdeep approaches Anupama in the kitchen, expressing his desire to talk.
Anupama invites him to speak. Meanwhile, Anuj tries calling Anupama, but she misses the call, leaving him to ponder why he is so affected. Anupama urges Yashdeep to speak his heart, dismissing formalities.
He says, “I like you. I started liking you when I saw your honesty, truthfulness, strength, positive attitude, art, and confidence; they won my heart. When Simran betrayed me, I had decided never to fall in love again, but you changed that. I have fallen in love with you. I never planned to express my love, but today I did. He shows her the ring. Anuj looks shocked, holding his breath in his room. Beeji also watches, waiting for Anupama to respond. Yashdeep says, “If you feel uncomfortable, I apologize.”
Anuj wonders how Anupama will react. Yashdeep continues, “I fell in love with you, even though I know your heart has no space for love. I tried to suppress my feelings, but my heart couldn’t stop me from expressing my love to you. I didn’t want to betray my friend, so I told you, even though it might be considered cheating in friendship and love.” Anuj continues to look upset. Yashdeep says, “We will always be friends.” Anupama replies, “That’s all I want, sir—just friendship.” Yashdeep smiles.
She adds, “I’m sorry, sir. Love is fragile, like glass; it may be beautiful, but it breaks and hurts, and it can’t be repaired. Friendship is like sand, always connected.” She thanks him and apologizes again, saying she can only be his friend and nothing more. Yashdeep promises not to let their precious friendship break. Anupama apologizes once more and leaves the kitchen.
Yashdeep holds the ring, his eyes teary. He puts the ring back in his pocket, and Beeji signals him. Anupama sees Anuj’s missed calls and calls him back, asking if Aadhya and Shruti are okay. Anuj assures her they are fine. Anupama scolds him for scaring her with so many missed calls. Anuj explains it was accidental, and she ends the call to answer Vikram’s call. Anuj watches, feeling conflicted. Song plays.
