Anuj asks Shruti if she plans to come with him to the Shah house now or later. Shruti responds, asking why he is heading there so early. Anuj explains that it’s a wedding house, and there are many tasks to handle. He says Dimpy is like a daughter to him, and he wants to help Baa and Babu ji. He also mentions dropping Aadhya off there and wanting to see her, even though he knows everyone is taking good care of her. He asks Shruti if he should wait for her.
Just then, Shruti receives a message from a food critic, which Anuj notices. Shruti tells him she’ll take time to get ready and urges him to go ahead. Anuj leaves, and Shruti calls Ms. Smith to arrange a meeting. Anuj, sensing something amiss, wonders why Shruti is acting so strangely and suspects she feels insecure after seeing him with Anu.
Meanwhile, Aadhya is helping the kids with their food. Anupama comments that in a house with older children, the younger ones see them as bosses and follow their lead. Baa asks Aadhya to eat, and Kavya offers to feed her. As Kavya feeds Aadhya, she signals Anupama to join.
Anupama places a bite in Aadhya’s mouth, and Aadhya, unaware, eats it. Anupama becomes emotional. As Aadhya is about to see her, Anupama hides behind Kavya and thanks her. Kavya continues to feed Aadhya. Baa remarks to Babu ji about how much their family loves them, wondering how they will ever leave. Babu ji replies that they must.
Vanraj expresses his frustration over Titu’s missing friend. Anupama steps in front of him, and he complains that she has blocked his way, hindering his plans. Anupama retorts, hoping his wrongful acts don’t succeed. Vanraj walks away, and Devika decides to follow him.
Anupama confides in Kavya, suspecting something is amiss with Vanraj’s plans and vowing to thwart them if necessary. Dimpy arrives, worried about her makeup and lehenga fitting. Anupama reassures her, promising she’ll be the most beautiful bride and assures her that nothing will go wrong.
Later, Anupama goes outside to get sweets and sits in Anuj’s car. Anuj confesses he couldn’t sleep all night and is in turmoil. Hearing Baa approaching, Anupama asks Anuj to let her go, and he complies. Devika continues tailing Vanraj, overhearing his conversation with an inspector about an address. As she turns, she finds Vanraj behind her.
Devika reveals she recorded their conversation and plans to show it to Baa and Babu ji. Vanraj laughs, claiming Devika doesn’t know what he was discussing with Baa and Babu ji, and suggests Anupama should focus on disrupting Shruti and Anuj’s marriage instead of saving Dimpy and Titu’s. He leaves, singing a tune.
Ms. Smith and Shruti meet at a restaurant. Ms. Smith remarks, “After the spice and chutney incident, you disappeared.” Shruti recalls Anuj saying it wasn’t Anupama’s fault. Ms. Smith continues, “You were so eager to meet me. I only wanted to warn the management of Spice and Chutney, but because of your persistence, I reported the incident to the health and hygiene department and leaked it to the media.” Shruti thinks to herself, I did this so Spice and Chutney would close and Anupama would return to India, but I didn’t expect it to escalate this much.
Ms. Smith thanks Shruti, saying, “Because of you, I did the right thing. People should be punished and taught a hard lesson.” The waiter hands a parcel to Anupama, who is seated at a nearby table. Ms. Smith congratulates Shruti on her upcoming marriage, and Shruti invites her to attend, adding, “My fiancé doesn’t know about the Spice and Chutney fiasco, and I’d like to keep it that way.” Ms. Smith reassures her, “Don’t worry, it’s our secret now.” They toast.
Anupama turns to them, and Ms. Smith tries to leave, but Anupama stops her. “You… the American food critic, you’re famous. You don’t like spice and flavor, but for people, you serve fully spicy and fake news,” Anupama says. “You just claimed you did the right thing, but it wasn’t my fault.
I begged you, explaining it was foul play, but you didn’t listen. It was Gulati’s doing, and Shruti knows this. I will return to America and prove my innocence. Have some shame and write the truth.” Ms. Smith leaves.
Anuj finishes a call as Aadhya comes and hugs him. He says, “I couldn’t sleep all night with you here.” Aadhya responds, “The kids ate food with my hand and slept with me last night.” He asks if she’s happy, and Aadhya replies, “Very much.” Dimpy informs Anuj that Ansh is calling, and Aadhya leaves. Anuj teases Dimpy, who says, “We should not give up on our love and should fight until the end.”
Anupama confronts Shruti, “If you had such a problem with me, you should have attacked me directly. Why target my work, workplace, co-workers, restaurant, dreams, self-respect, strength, talent? If you hated me so much, you should have faced me instead of backstabbing me.
” Shruti retorts, “What proof do you have that I did it? You’re known for ruining people’s lives and personal affairs.” Anupama counters, “Then ruin my personal life. Why attack my professional life?” Shruti dismisses her, “I don’t care.” Anupama asserts, “I do care.”
Anuj calls Shruti, but she ignores it. Anuj then calls Anupama, and Shruti asks, “Why is AK calling you?” Anupama replies, “We’re talking about ourselves now. Why did you do this to me?” Shruti accuses Anupama, “Look at yourself and think about what you did.
You tried to snatch Anuj from me, came to New York intentionally to get him, and used your tears to get closer to him. You didn’t come for Aadhya; you came to win Anuj’s heart. We were about to marry, but you ruined it. Now, you dare teach me right and wrong?” Anupama is shocked.
