Ishaan asks Savi to prepare tea for him. Savi reminds him that he doesn’t drink tea. Ishaan replies that he’s started doing things he never thought he would. Savi asks what he means. Ishaan, thinking of confessing his love, says instead that he’s started enjoying tea from her hands and asks her to prepare it quickly. Savi begins to make the tea.
Ishaan comments that what she’s doing isn’t right. Savi retorts if he intends to teach her how to make tea now. Ishaan clarifies that he means her focus on marriage is distracting her from her studies and goals. Savi snaps back that he has no right to dictate her life, as he is no longer her husband.
Ishaan asserts that as her mentor, he has a duty to guide her away from the wrong path. Savi counters that she is receiving marriage proposals and her life is not his concern. Frustrated, Ishaan throws the milk away and storms off, telling her to add it to his bill.
Patil overhears their conversation and realizes that many men, not just Ishaan, are interested in Savi. He decides to investigate who sent the marriage proposal for Savi. He congratulates Shukla on potentially becoming the new owner of the tea shop once Savi gets married.
Shukla explains that Savi’s neighbor brought her nephew Abhijeet’s proposal, but he doesn’t know what happened afterward as he left to deliver tea. Meanwhile, Bhanwar’s goons kidnap Abhijeet under the pretense of getting an address and brutally assault him for sending a proposal to Savi.
They warn him to stay away from her before releasing him. Abhijeet’s aunt, along with her friends, storms into Savi’s house, blaming her for Abhijeet’s assault. Shocked, Savi denies any involvement. The aunt, claiming the attackers mentioned Savi, curses her and leaves.
An inspector visits Abhijeet to take his statement. Abhijeet identifies his attackers from photos shown by the inspector, who explains that they are henchmen hired for money. Later, Savi visits Abhijeet, who pleads with her to leave as the goons threatened to kill him.
Distressed, Savi goes to the police station to file a complaint. Patil, pretending to be concerned, asks why she’s there after he had already arranged her bail. Savi explains that she’s filing a complaint about the assault on Abhijeet.
The sub-inspector tells Patil that the henchmen must have been hired by someone. Savi confirms she wants to file a complaint. Patil orders the sub-inspector to bring the henchmen in for questioning. Pretending to interrogate them, Patil then tells Savi that her ex-husband, Professor Ishaan, had hired them for 50,000 rupees. Savi is stunned by the revelation. Patil adds that Ishaan’s wealth will help him escape consequences, but Savi’s reputation will suffer.
Ishaan walks in on Patil’s call. Savi accuses Ishaan of hiring goons to assault Abhijeet. Ishaan is shocked and denies the allegations, but Savi continues, saying he feels guilty for her family’s death and is trying to lessen his guilt by helping her. She insists that doesn’t mean he should interfere in her life too much.
Ishaan stands silently, watching Patil’s expressions from a distance. Savi leaves. Ishaan tells Patil he is being framed. Patil warns that if he files a case, Ishaan would go to jail for a long time, but he is sparing him to avoid involving Savi’s name. Ishaan warns him to stop mentioning Savi.
Patil repeats Savi’s name and warns Ishaan that he is in his police station and should leave. Ishaan warns Patil to act like a policeman and not a goon, or else he will become a goon and teach Patil a lesson. He walks away as Patil sings “Aa Dekhen Zara Kisne Kitna Hai Dum.”
Savi returns home and informs Harini that Ishaan hired those goons. Harini is shocked and says she can’t believe Ishaan would do this. Savi says she wouldn’t have either if the goons hadn’t mentioned Ishaan’s name; she doesn’t understand why he is behind her while he is engaged to Reeva.
Harini suggests that Ishaan might have feelings for her and is struggling to express them, just like Savi did. Savi insists that he is marrying Reeva by choice, and she doesn’t know why he creates problems for her whenever she tries to move on. Harini comforts her.
While driving home, Ishaan thinks Bhanwar is trying to create misunderstandings between him and Savi and recalls recent incidents where Bhanwar showed interest in Savi. The goons ask Patil for their payment for acting in front of Savi. Patil tells them they can continue their extortion business if they keep quiet and warns them to stay away from Ishaan. Ishaan is troubled by thoughts of Savi.
