Imlie is doing the laundry when Hemalatha offers to help, but Imlie insists she can manage. Nirmala then asks Malti to bring Surya’s clothes for washing and secretly hides Imlie’s photos among them. She then asks Imlie to wash more of Surya’s clothes, which she agrees to, soaking them in detergent water.
However, Imlie’s photos fall out, and Nirmala picks them up, suggesting that Surya has feelings for Imlie and will eventually claim his rights as her husband. Imlie is angered by Nirmala’s words.
Meanwhile, Surya receives a call from Anjali, who seems nervous when he asks about the spiked juice she gave him. He tells her about falling from a window and breaking his hand because of it. Anjali becomes concerned and says she’s coming over, despite Surya’s protests.
Hemalatha tries to reassure Imlie, but she is troubled by Nirmala’s words. As Surya walks by, trying to call Anjali, he slips and accidentally touches Imlie’s waist. Remembering Nirmala’s words, Imlie slaps Surya and warns him not to touch her again.
Later, Imlie sits alone, crying and remembering Surya’s inappropriate behavior. Surya, too, feels remorseful for his actions. Anjali arrives with pasta for Surya, but he rebuffs her, saying he doesn’t need her care. Imlie, while cutting vegetables, accidentally cuts her finger. Arjun reprimands her, saying she’s wrong to mistreat Surya, who he considers a brother. Aditya is shocked to see Surya and tries to explain, but Surya is furious and accuses him of betraying Imlie.
The confrontation escalates, and Indira tries to intervene, but Surya is too angry. Finally, Imlie steps in and tells Surya the truth about her relationship with Aditya. Surya is stunned, realizing the depth of Imlie’s pain. He apologizes to her, and she forgives him, understanding that he was also a victim of circumstances.
