Surya explains to Pallo that his anger towards Imlie stems from her misunderstanding him, not from her slapping him. He expresses frustration over the prevalence of men behaving inappropriately with women in public transport and society often teaching women to remain silent and not resist.
He appreciates Pallo for not instilling such silence in her daughters, emphasizing the importance of standing up against such behavior, even from one’s husband. Surya praises Imlie and Bulbul for their traditional values (sanskaris) and mentions that Prashanth’s family is fortunate to have Bulbul.
Eventually, Prashanth’s family agrees to the engagement, and Nirmala attempts to leave, only to be stopped by CJ, who insists she stay for the tilak/engagement ritual or face questions about his upbringing.
After the tilak ritual, Bulbul thanks Surya for resolving the issue, indicating her happiness with the engagement. Surya notices her happiness and assumes it’s because she likes Prashant. Pallo then invites Surya and Imlie for dinner that evening, to which Surya agrees, saying that both he and Imlie will visit.
Meanwhile, Indira confronts Nirmala for inviting Imlie’s uncle and aunt, knowing about their daughter’s engagement on the same day. Imlie intervenes, acknowledging that she insulted Surya but never questioned Indira’s upbringing.
Indira considers questioning Surya as questioning her upbringing, and Imlie defends herself by saying that while she might blame Indira indirectly, she’s not responsible for Surya’s actions. Imlie apologizes repeatedly to Indira, vowing to continue until forgiven, and warns Nirmala to mend her ways, as she’ll be keeping a close eye on her from now on.
Later, Surya, ready for the dinner party, waits for Imlie. Arjun sings “Inteha Hogayi Intezar Ki” and teases Surya, who scolds him and threatens him. Imlie arrives, stunning Surya with her beauty, and they head to the party.
CJ confronts Indira for insulting their in-laws and accuses her of tarnishing his reputation. Nirmala chimes in, stating that Indira was upset by Imlie’s actions towards Surya and Raghu’s arrest. CJ leaves, disappointed with Indira. Nirmala continues to manipulate Indira against Imlie.
At Pallo’s house, Surya and Imlie are welcomed with an aarti by Pallo. Imlie notes that she didn’t perform Surya’s aarti before, and Pallo explains that it was a mistake she is now correcting. She asks them to sit while she serves dinner.
Surya teasingly shows Imlie the message she wrote on his bandage.As Surya and Imlie settle in for dinner at Pallo’s house, the atmosphere is cordial, but underlying tensions remain. Pallo, trying to lighten the mood, serves them with warmth and hospitality. Surya, still in awe of Imlie’s grace, engages in light banter with her, showcasing their playful camaraderie.
Meanwhile, at Indira’s house, the fallout from the evening’s events continues. CJ expresses his disappointment in Indira, feeling that her actions have tarnished his reputation. Nirmala, seizing the opportunity, continues to sow seeds of doubt and resentment in Indira’s mind, further straining their relationship.
Back at the dinner table, the conversation takes a serious turn as Pallo brings up the topic of marriage and relationships. Surya, reflecting on his own experiences, shares his views on love, respect, and understanding in a relationship. Imlie, touched by his words, begins to see Surya in a new light, recognizing his depth and sensitivity.
