The episode begins with Ranvijay sensing Jaya’s presence. Jaya hurries to remove some pictures as Vaiju accidentally drops the tea. Vaiju apologizes, and Ranvijay responds with an apology, explaining he was just… Vaiju thinks she will make another cup of tea and reassures him. She then suggests sugarcane juice, but he declines.
Vaiju tries to peel the sugarcane but drops it, and then offers biscuits, which he refuses. Ranvijay suggests they sit and have a talk, to which Vaiju agrees. While Jaya removes the pictures, Ranvijay turns around but doesn’t see her. She hides from him, and Vaiju asks if he wants anything else, which he declines.
Ranvijay wonders why he feels Jaya’s presence there. He then thanks Vaiju for dropping him home the previous night, mentioning he doesn’t drink. Vaiju replies it’s okay and adds that while she can’t make tea or cook, she can do any work in the field, offering to show him her cow Raja.
Ranvijay declines, saying some other day. Vaiju corrects herself, saying the cow’s name is Rani and that she’s pregnant, asking if he has ever witnessed a cow delivering a calf. Ranvijay notes that her habits resemble his mother’s, not his. Vaiju then questions his reason for being there, asking if he wanted to meet her or if his mother pressured him. Ranvijay clarifies it was his decision to come.
Vaiju expresses the importance of knowing if he will accept her, promising to go to any extent to save the relationship if he does. Ranvijay appreciates her value for relationships but leaves without giving a clear answer, leaving Vaiju confused about his intentions. As Ranvijay returns home, Vasundara inquires if he met her, to which he confirms. Rao Sahab asks about his decision, but Ranvijay says there’s none. Despite pressure from Jaikant, he maintains that he hasn’t decided anything yet.
Rao Sahab comments on Ranvijay not being ready for any relationship, citing his condition. Kaveri criticizes Vaiju for dropping the tea, suggesting that people judge a girl’s ability to manage a household. Aai consoles Vaiju, suggesting that perhaps the relationship wasn’t meant to be and that Ranvijay desires someone more like himself. Vaiju tearfully excuses herself, but Jaya intervenes, defending her actions.
Jaya consoles, “Don’t lose hope. He didn’t reject you. City folks don’t decide in one meeting.” Vaiju nods. Vasundara approaches Ranvijay, offering him juice. He declines, saying, “I haven’t given Vaiju an answer yet. My mind is elsewhere.” Vasundara guesses, “You’re thinking about the girl who broke your heart.” Ranvijay admits, “She was like me. Vaiju and I have nothing in common.
I’m really sorry.” Vasundara advises him to take his time. Jaya and Kaveri encourage Vaiju, noting, “Two people need time to decide about marriage.” Aai worries, thinking, “What about us and our reputation? If that man says yes, I’ll end this alliance.” Ranvijay confesses, “I’m unsure about my feelings for Vaiju.” Rao Sahab interjects, “That’s good. I didn’t come to talk about Vaiju, but about the girl you love.
” Ranvijay explains, “She left me.” Rao Sahab questions, “Did you lose her?” Ranvijay replies, “She rejected me.” Rao Sahab suggests, “Perhaps she had no choice but to refuse you. What changed her mind in a day? The truth will surface.” Ranvijay ponders. Aai decides to make a call, dialing Vasundara to speak against Vaiju.
