The episode opens with Aai speaking disparagingly about Vaiju, which prompts Vasundara to inquire about Aai’s identity and her connection to Vaiju. Aai reveals that several suitors have rejected Vaiju, questioning why Vasundara would jeopardize her son’s happiness. Angered by Aai’s comments, Vasundara defends Vaiju, stating her trust in Vaiju’s character over Aai’s words.
Aai becomes anxious, and Vasundara questions who would oppose Vaiju’s happiness and impede her marriage plans. Meanwhile, Ranvijay decides to confront Jaya, urging her to be honest about their relationship and reassuring her that their marriage doesn’t have to be rushed.
However, Jaya, overwhelmed with emotions, lashes out at Ranvijay, denying their love and demanding that he leave her alone. Hurt by her words, Ranvijay resolves to cut ties with her, symbolized by him discarding his phone.
Both Jaya and Ranvijay are left in tears as they reminisce about their love, accompanied by the melancholic tune of “Tujhe yaad na meri…”. Later, Vasundara visits the temple and confides in Aai about receiving a call from an anonymous woman who spoke ill of Vaiju. Aai expresses disbelief, and Vasundara recounts the caller’s claims that Vaiju had been rejected by 14 suitors.
Shocked, Aai confirms the truth of the rejections. Vasundara reveals that she contacted some of the rejected suitors, who confirmed the caller’s allegations. Perplexed, Vasundara and Aai wonder who could be behind this malicious scheme, considering Vaiju has no known enemies among her friends or neighbors.
Vasundara inquires if her mother is behind this. Aai, surprised, asks what she means. Vasundara, invoking honesty before God, presses, revealing her discussion with the priest regarding Vaiju’s alliance. She accuses Aai of favoring Jaya’s marriage to Ranvijay over Vaiju’s prospects.
Aai, tearful, admits her actions, attributing them to the burden of raising three daughters and repaying loans after Vaiju’s father left. Vasundara, understanding yet firm, condemns Aai’s greed-driven decisions, emphasizing a mother’s duty to protect her child. She urges Aai to rectify her mistake.
Later, Aai visits Vaiju in the fields, where she is working. Vaiju, unaware of the confrontation, greets her warmly. Aai, now remorseful, admits Vasundara’s words resonated, acknowledging Vaiju’s true worth. She offers prasad, revealing her prayers for Vaiju’s marriage, realizing now she had prayed for her happiness.
Meanwhile, Vasundara tends to Ranvijay, who expresses regret over trusting Jaya, feeling unappreciated. Jaya and Vaiju, troubled by Ranvijay’s words, find it hard to sleep, pondering his sentiments. Vasundara consoles Ranvijay, acknowledging the difficulty of his situation, hinting at the complexity of their decisions.
