Sahiba confronts Angad and Manveer, accusing them of being blinded by money and self-interest, unable to see beyond their own desires. She asserts that they cannot prevent her from taking her son, and calls for Akeer. As Akeer rushes into her arms, she showers him with emotional affection.
Angad angrily questions Diljeet’s presence and authority in his house, demanding to know how he dares to approach Akeer. Diljeet challenges Angad to prove Akeer’s paternity before questioning his right to be near him. Turning to Akeer, Diljeet asks whose son he is. Akeer runs to embrace him, declaring himself as Diljeet Singh Panesar’s son. Diljeet then sends Akeer off to play, explaining that he needs to talk.
Akeer asks if he can play with his mother, to which Diljeet agrees. Diljeet approaches Harneet, causing her anxiety about their secret relationship. However, Diljeet asks Harneet to play with Akeer, acknowledging her as a mother who would never betray anyone, as she is not aligned with anyone’s side. Harneet then takes Akeer away.
Diljeet asserts that everyone witnessed proof of Akeer choosing him publicly and standing by his decision to accompany him. Sahiba questions his motives, citing the risk he’s imposed on Akeer’s life and his lack of trustworthiness, accusing him of attempting to exploit Akeer. Diljeet counters, urging her not to speak of exploitation when she herself betrayed his trust over six years. He highlights his devoted care for her during that time, only to be abandoned and betrayed once she reconciled with Angad.
He emphasizes his selfless devotion to Akeer, claiming to have loved and sacrificed more for him than anyone else. Feeling ungrateful for being cast out of Akeer’s life, Diljeet refuses Angad’s offer of financial compensation, asserting his ability to secure his own needs. Sahiba intervenes, asserting her maternal claim over Akeer, prompting Diljeet to warn against her interference in matters between men.
Angad roars back, demanding to know what else he could possibly want. Diljeet retorts that he wants Sahiba in exchange for Akeer. Angad vehemently defends Sahiba, warning Diljeet not to speak ill of her. Diljeet counters, accusing Angad of abandoning his pregnant wife and now suddenly feigning concern. The argument escalates as Diljeet persists in demanding Sahiba in exchange for Akeer.
Manveer interjects forcefully, threatening to call the guards and eject Diljeet from her house. Undeterred, Diljeet suggests involving the police, confident that even then his son, Akeer, would plead for his release. Manveer falls silent, taken aback by Diljeet’s determination.
Diljeet further asserts his claim by presenting Akeer’s birth certificate with his name listed as the father. Sahiba, feeling cornered, admits her mistake in acknowledging him as a friend and including his name on the certificate. Despite her protestations, Diljeet remains resolute, reminding her of his past sacrifices and vowing to reclaim her.
