The episode begins with Sayali instructing Renu, who ignores her advice and adds water to the burning wood. Sayali criticizes her action, insisting on preparing the food herself. Renu pleads with Sayali not to reveal this to Aaji, but Sayali refuses. Suspicious, Sayali questions whether Renu added salt, to which Renu responds vaguely. Unconvinced, Sayali checks the food. Renu, feeling threatened, tries to intimidate Sayali, but Sayali stands her ground, warning Renu to stop pretending and change for the better.
Later, Sachin confronts Renu about her intentions, expressing concern over her behavior. Renu deflects, claiming fatigue and asking him not to bother her. Sachin remains suspicious, sensing that something is amiss. Meanwhile, Shakku calls Renu and questions why she is doing all the work when Sayali is present. Renu reveals her plan to impress Aaji by doing household chores to gain money, alleging that Sayali and Aaji are mistreating her. Shakku advises her to expedite her efforts, as they need money for marriage preparations. Renu shares her fear that Shubha is planning Juhi and Akash’s marriage, with Akash currently at Sayali’s house. Shakku advises her to focus on her duties as a good daughter-in-law.
Renu then feigns burnt hands to gain sympathy from Paresh, asking him to request money from Aaji on her behalf. Paresh, reluctant to ask Aaji directly, suggests Renu show Aaji that she is working hard by washing utensils.
Meanwhile, Tejas accompanies Roshni to the salon, confessing that he fled an interview due to intimidation from four female MDs. Roshni, amused, encourages him, pointing out that he is her inspiration. Tejas, impressed by her support, leaves for another interview.
After Tejas departs, Vidya questions Roshni’s decision to marry Tejas, highlighting his lack of stability and responsibility. Roshni defends Tejas, citing his caring nature and understanding. Back at home, Aaji experiences leg pain, prompting Sayali to offer a massage. Aaji, feeling content with her family’s presence, expresses confusion over Renu’s sudden helpfulness. Sachin echoes Aaji’s sentiments, suspicious of Renu’s ulterior motives.
Sayali tries to ease the tension, saying, “Don’t overthink it, you’ve troubled Renu enough.” Sachin teases, “You seem to have enjoyed it too.” Sayali smiles. Sachin continues, “I know Renu; she always has an agenda. She doesn’t respect Dad and Aaji. How did she even come here to work? I don’t trust her.”
Paresh notices Sayali caring for Aaji and points it out to Renu, saying, “Look at Sayali. You’re in a battle with her to be the better bahu. I think Sayali will win.” Renu defends herself, “Isn’t what I’m doing enough?” Paresh remarks, “No, Sayali is hurt, yet she’s taking care of Aaji.” He then sarcastically advises Renu to stop expecting money and goes to Aaji, smiling.
Meanwhile, Akash and Riya meet and argue. Renu offers to massage Aaji’s legs, but Sayali insists she will do it. Sachin and Paresh observe. Sachin asks Renu what’s wrong with her, as she doesn’t seem like his wife anymore. Aaji intervenes, asking Renu to let Sayali do it. Renu insists, but Sayali also refuses to give up. Sachin suggests they each massage one leg to avoid a fight.
Aaji then asks Paresh about money. Sachin jokes, “Are you giving more money, in case Tejas runs away with it again?” Aaji drops the topic. Paresh praises Sayali, saying the marriage will be simple but well managed. Aaji expresses concern that Sachin is the sole earner, but Paresh reveals that Tejas has a good job.
Renu adds that Tejas is starting a new job. Paresh reassures Aaji that they don’t need money; they just want her to come to Mumbai for the wedding. Renu reminds them of the need to give gold to Roshni, whom Tejas is marrying, to maintain their respect. Sachin realizes Renu’s true intention and accuses her of coming for money. Aaji, however, decides to give the money, and Renu asks for it, smiling as Aaji agrees.
