The episode opens with the kids approaching Armaan and Abhira. Kiara and Aryan offer their apologies, which Abhira accepts, embracing them warmly. She requests that they not speak ill of Aryan. They all proceed to have dinner together.
Later, Kajal and Sanjay escort Dadi into the hall, where the lights come on, and everyone begins dancing to the tune of “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.” Ruhi notices Armaan, but the festivities are interrupted when Dadi grabs Abhira’s hand and accuses her of tarnishing her reputation.
Armaan intervenes, defending Abhira and explaining that she actually saved Dadi. However, Dadi, feeling humiliated, accuses Abhira of ruining her hard-earned reputation and demands that Armaan leave with her.
Despite Abhira’s pleas, Dadi remains firm, instructing Vidya to prepare for their departure and find them a new home. Heartbroken, Abhira begs Dadi not to separate her from Armaan, willing to accept any punishment herself. Dadi remains unmoved and walks away, leaving Vidya and Madhav in tears as they pack their belongings. Abhira, devastated, locks eyes with Armaan, who then approaches Dadi.
Refusing to accept Dadi’s decision, Armaan declares his right to stay with Abhira, professing his unwavering commitment to their family. He leads Dadi to their room, showing her the family photos and emphasizing his deep love and dedication. He pleads with her not to tear their family apart, expressing that he cannot survive without them. Despite his heartfelt plea, Dadi remains resolute, prompting Armaan to question her love for him.
In a desperate attempt to change her mind, Armaan recalls her previous affectionate words, but Dadi remains unmoved. However, when Abhira and Ruhi enter, Dadi relents slightly, proposing a test: if Armaan passes, they can stay. She challenges him to imagine a fire in the house and decide which three things he would save. Armaan chooses the family photo, toffee wrappers symbolizing his childhood memories, and his law degree, representing his achievements. Despite his belief that he has passed, Dadi declares that he has failed, leaving him in shock.
