Baa announces that the ritual begins with washing the son-in-law’s feet. Vanraj refuses, prompting Baa to warn that she’ll have to do it if he doesn’t. Titu intervenes, stating he won’t partake in a ritual where elders are disrespected and proceeds to wash Vanraj’s feet himself. As Titu washes his feet, Vanraj whispers to him to end the charade.
Titu retorts, suggesting Vanraj is secretly falling in love with him, much to the amusement of the children, causing the aarti plate to fall, considered a bad omen by Baa. Anupama reassures that the children meant no harm and they quickly apologize to Kanha ji with flower petals. Shruti inquires about AK from the nurse, who informs her he’s on a call with someone in India, leading Shruti to recall he hadn’t invited her to Dimpy’s wedding.
Meanwhile, Kavya performs the ritual while Ansh observes. Anupama encourages Ansh to participate, and he does so, albeit reluctantly, looking to Vanraj for approval. Titu engages Ansh, promising him fun times after marriage, including cricket, late-night treats, and attending Ansh’s school functions.
Ansh excitedly applies the tilak, irritating Vanraj. Ishu, Mahi, and Ansh embrace the couple, causing Baa to worry about them falling. Anuj and Anupama share a laugh. Shruti arrives with the nurse’s assistance, appearing despondent, and requests to be taken back. Kavya seizes the moment for a selfie, while Baa and Kavya discuss the benefits of video calls.
After the ritual, Dimpy inquires, “What’s the good news?” Vanraj jests, “Are you two getting married?” Anupama scolds him lightly. Vanraj quips, “If I’m your brother-in-law, should I be joking?” Anupama is about to respond when Anuj intervenes, announcing that Anupama has become a co-owner of Spice and Chutney. Baa and Babu ji are overcome with emotion and happiness. Baa suggests celebrating with garba, and Anuj agrees, saying they will join in.
Meanwhile, Toshu and Kinjal perform the puja. Kinjal advises Toshu to mend his ways. Pari mentions she’ll go and share candies with her homeless friends, prompting Kinjal to caution her against expecting anything in return. Toshu interrupts, criticizing Kinjal’s advice to Pari. He reflects on his mother’s choice to offer all their money to Yashdeep, suggesting that if she had given him some money, things might have been different. Kinjal sternly tells him to refrain from speaking if he doesn’t know the full story, revealing that their mother has obtained a partnership in Spice and Chutney.
Shruti and the others gather for a puja. Anuj expresses his desire for Shruti to perform the rituals, but she hesitates. Aadhya encourages Shruti to proceed, and when she finds it difficult, Anupama steps in. Anupama performs the aarti and expresses her reverence for Maa Lakshmi and Maa Annapurna. She presents a gold coin for the puja, which surprises Shruti, who suggests they could have bought something more practical. Anuj explains that he refrained from buying gold for five days, in observance of Akshaya Tritiya.
Titu invites Ansh to join them for a meal, addressing him as “Papa.” Mahi notices Vanraj holding a plate and suggests they eat together with Kavya. However, Vanraj hands her the plate and leaves. Titu invites Mahi and Ishu to join them, and Babu ji praises Ansh as a good son-in-law.
Anupama asks Aadhya to light the diya as the daughter of the house. Shruti mentions Anuj’s discussion with Anupama about the auspiciousness of buying gold and suggests considering buying gold or setting a wedding date.
Aadhya agrees, but Anuj suggests discussing it later. Shruti playfully suggests a grand wedding in India, but Anuj reminds her of her health condition, stating that travel is not advisable. Anupama assures Shruti that whenever her marriage happens, it will be a grand affair.
