The episode begins with Choton inviting Jhanak to see Arshi’s house. Vinayak greets Jhanak and praises her for her good work. Choton offers to show Jhanak around the house. Shrishti, however, takes a dig at Jhanak. Choton shares with Jhanak his deep affection for Anirudh, expressing that he feels upset whenever anything unpleasant happens to him.
Jhanak, puzzled, inquires about the troubling situation. Choton reveals his concern about Anirudh and Jhanak’s relationship, suggesting that their marriage might be in trouble due to their differences. Jhanak defends their love, stating that despite their differences, they have been together for years. Choton reflects on the nature of knowing someone truly when living together, lamenting the apparent distance between Jhanak and Anirudh. He suggests that Anirudh’s recent behavior might have been a result of some misunderstanding.
Jhanak, however, insists that Anirudh should not have any reason to be upset. Choton, sensing her underlying emotions, asks if she is angry with him. Jhanak denies it, saying there’s no reason for her to be angry. Choton then reveals that Anirudh had confided in him about Jhanak and Aditya, hinting at a potential source of tension in their relationship.
She weeps, exclaiming, “I don’t care! Why is he even thinking about me?” He responds, “I had to listen to a lot about the shoot. One day, he’ll understand. You’re not like other girls.” She retorts, “Not every girl is the same. I’m not at fault. I went to work and returned, but he misunderstood me. I want him to realize it one day. I know myself, I’m not wrong.” He changes the subject, saying, “Anyway, we’ll talk later.
The ceremony is about to start. Come.” Tanuja compliments Shrishti on the beautiful decorations. She then asks Rumi to dance before the ritual begins. Shubh adds, “Yes, it’s your brother’s wedding.” Everyone dances to the tune of “Sasural Genda Phool.” Appu brings Anirudh and Jhanak together, and Shrishti makes him dance with Arshi, earning applause from everyone. She remarks, “Everyone danced together; it was fun.
” The Ashirwad rasam starts, and Appu takes charge, reminding everyone of their roles. Vinayak tells Appu that as Arshi’s elder sister-in-law, she should perform the ritual and bless Arshi. Appu agrees, and Shrishti asks her to bring the gift. Anjana looks worried, but Anirudh thanks her uncle for remembering Appu. Vinayak assures them it’s no trouble and asks for their blessings instead.
Appu agrees, saying, “Yes, I will give blessings, what else?” Tanuja praises their joint family, mentioning that Anirudh loves everyone. Shrishti recalls asking Arshi if she could adjust in a big joint family, but Tanuja reassures her, saying that they’ve bought a flat abroad for Anirudh and Arshi, so they won’t be visiting often. Choton adds, “We’re not thieves. You’ll have an equal share in the house. Who can go against Shubh? He’s a lawyer. There are pros and cons to living in a joint family.
” He apologizes to Shrishti, and Dadi interrupts, reminding Choton that the Ashirwad rasam is ongoing. She completes the ritual and gives Arshi a gift, expressing hope that Arshi gets what she desires. Shrishti then asks Bipasha to dance, but Bipasha declines, saying that Lal is tired. Vinayak invites Bablu and Anjana for the rasam. They put some cash in an envelope, which Bablu describes as a token of goodwill.
Shrishti objects, saying, “Don’t give money to Arshi. What will she do with such a small amount?” Bablu insists it’s a customary gift and urges Arshi to accept it. Shrishti then asks Anjana to step forward and present the envelope. Vinayak defends their right to give whatever they want as a blessing. Shrishti persists, stating she doesn’t want them to give money to her daughter, but Vinayak dismisses it as drama, asserting that it’s a customary gift and they can decide what to give.
Anjana dismisses any further need, saying, “It’s fine, I don’t need to give anything else.” She proceeds with the ritual. Shrishti, noticing Jhanak‘s reluctance, teases, “Jhanak, won’t you dance at Arshi’s ceremony?” Jhanak replies, “I didn’t become a star.” Shrishti retorts, “Well then, just dance.
” Jhanak declines, saying, “I don’t feel like dancing today.” Shrishti probes, “Why? Aren’t you happy for Arshi? You had so many luxuries in your fate, but you rejected everything. Anirudh also made a scene without thinking.” Anirudh admits, “Yes, I know I was wrong that day. I overreacted. It was my mistake. Jhanak could have had a life experience.” Jhanak reprimands him, and he responds rudely.
