Akeer shows his room to his best friend Lucky from Panesar. As they chat, Gurnoor walks in. Akeer introduces Lucky to her, mentioning they used to attend school and play together. Gurnoor smiles and says, “You must be happy to see your best friend. Who called him here?” Akeer replies, “Angad did.” Gurnoor suggests, “You should do something nice for Angad in return.” Akeer nods, saying he will thank Angad. Gurnoor adds, “Do something different.”
Meanwhile, outside the Brar mansion, Beeja tells her aide Preeta that the Brar family is celebrating and Gurnoor is also enjoying herself. Beeja, wanting to see Gurnoor shiver in fear, sends Preeta inside as a guest to ruin Gurnoor’s happiness.
The dastarbandi ritual for Akeer begins. Akeer sits next to Angad. Angad asks why he is there and tells him to finish his dastarbandi. Akeer thanks him and calls him “papa.” Overjoyed, Angad asks him to repeat it, and Akeer does.
The Brars are thrilled. Angad, filled with happiness, says Akeer has given him the joy of the whole world. Akeer gives a thumbs up to Gurnoor. Angad asks if Gurnoor asked him to call him papa. Akeer recalls Gurnoor telling him he would become a true Sikh after the dastarbandi and should follow Babaji’s path.
Gurnoor also taught him to respect his parents and never misbehave with them. Out of the flashback, Akeer tells Angad about a story his mom used to tell him about a king, queen, and prince, where the prince decided to stay with both the king and queen. Akeer says he will now stay with his papa king. Angad is even happier.
The Brars discuss that Gurnoor must have convinced Akeer to call Angad papa. Manveer feels jealous hearing Gurnoor’s praise. Jasleen asks Manveer how she plans to send Gurnoor away now. Manveer tells Gurnoor to attend to the guests.
Gurnoor steps aside, and Beeja’s aide approaches her, holding her hand and mentioning that Mrs. Maan is roaming freely. Gurnoor asks if she knows her. The aide says she knows her very well and threatens to reveal her truth to the Brars.
Angad approaches them, asking Gurnoor what she is doing there and what secret the guest is talking about. The aide covers up by saying Gurnoor is a good singer. Angad questions why she is holding Gurnoor’s hand. Gurnoor explains that the aunty liked her bangles, and she promised to get the same for her. The aide walks away.
Manveer approaches Akeer to perform his dastarbandi, but Akeer insists that Gurnoor should do it. Manveer accuses Gurnoor of brainwashing Akeer. Akeer, persistent, calls for Gurnoor repeatedly. Gurnoor takes Angad and Manveer aside, telling Manveer that she will lie for her benefit despite being accused of brainwashing Akeer.
She then tells Akeer that her mamma appeared in a dream, happy about his dastarbandi, and wished that his grandma perform it. Akeer agrees. The Brars note how well Akeer listens to Gurnoor. Manveer performs Akeer’s dastarbandi, while Gurnoor fears that Beeja, having sent her aide, could show up anytime.
