Surya purchased kachoris with the intention of showing Imlie a path to access food, believing it to be the right approach. During this, Arjun called Surya and inquired if Anjali was his ex-girlfriend, to which Surya confirmed. Surprised, Surya questioned who had disclosed this information to Arjun. Arjun further questioned Surya’s decision to marry Imlie despite his love for Anjali, revealing that Anjali was en route to Banaras. Concerned, Surya urged Arjun to prevent Anjali from arriving in Banaras at any cost.
Later, Surya offered the kachoris to Imlie, who was singing while washing someone’s car. Imlie, however, paid no attention to him and instead asked the car owner for money. Unfortunately, the owner ignored her and drove away. Smelling the kachoris, Surya praised the deliciousness of Banaras’ kachoris. In response, Imlie criticized Surya’s use of forceful tactics to achieve his goals. Surya defended his stance, stating that force is sometimes necessary. Imlie disagreed, citing Surya’s violent behavior as a reason for losing Agastya.
Anjali gathers her belongings, including Surya’s favorite red sari, hoping to entice him, and prepares to leave for Banaras with Malti. Arjun intervenes, telling her she can’t go. Anjali warns him not to come between her and Surya, but Arjun argues that she is interfering in a married couple’s affairs. Undeterred, Anjali challenges him to try and stop her. Arjun then contacts CJ and Indira, informing them that it will soon be dark and Anjali wants to leave without having dinner. Indira urges Anjali to stay, but Anjali insists it’s already evening and she must return home.
Indira suggests Anjali call her mother to stay longer, but Anjali declines, stating she will visit another day and will leave before it gets too late. Indira remarks on the traditional values of returning home early, contrasting it with their daughter-in-law, Imlie, who performs in a bar at night. Arjun decides to escort Anjali home after dinner, and Indira declares that Anjali will stay for dinner and Arjun will then take her home.
Imlie sings a bhajan by the ghat, and people are so moved that they offer her money. After she finishes, a lady blesses her, saying she has magic in her throat. Surya sees this and feels that Imlie has proven that one can achieve their goals through the right path. He offers his kachori to a boy and suggests to Imlie that they should have food bought with her hard-earned money.
Indira confides in CJ, expressing that if she had to choose a girl for Surya, she would have chosen someone like Anjali. Instead, Surya ended up with Imlie, who used to be a bar dancer.
CJ reminds Indira that in their house, the opinion that matters most to Imlie is her husband’s. Since he has accepted her, Indira should also accept her and focus on the future rather than dwelling on Imlie’s past.
Meanwhile, Nirmala takes Anjali to Imlie’s old bar, much to Anjali’s confusion. They overhear men discussing the singer, noting that she doesn’t sing like Imlie. Nirmala reveals that she brought Anjali there to meet Amrith, who claims to know all of Imlie’s secrets.
Imlie buys kachori and tries to pay the vendor, but he refuses, saying his business doubled when she was singing. He suggests that she convince her husband to let her sing in front of his shop. Later, Surya shows Imlie a video of Agastya introducing himself as Surya’s twin brother, which deeply moves Imlie.
