The episode begins with Abhira and Armaan in a heated argument in front of their family members. She declares that she no longer wants to be a burden and releases Armaan from the promise he made to her mother. This declaration leaves everyone looking somber.
Abhira asserts her right to break her mother’s promise, stating that she is freeing Armaan from the commitment to keep the marriage for a year. She expresses her long-standing feelings of being humiliated in the household and decides to leave, believing it would bring peace to her mother’s soul. Despite Armaan’s plea for her to stay, Abhira insists on leaving, rejecting any notion of helplessness.
Ruhi intervenes, trying to persuade Abhira to stay, but Abhira remains resolute. She accuses Ruhi of secretly desiring her departure and leaves, despite Dadi’s attempts to stop her. Dadi, concerned about Abhira’s future, offers financial support, but Abhira rejects the offer, determined to maintain her self-respect and uphold her mother’s values.
As Abhira steps out of the house, a gust of wind blows out the diya outside, symbolizing her departure. Dadi closes the door behind her, leaving Armaan stunned. Ruhi pleads with Dadi to reconsider, but Dadi remains firm, believing that Abhira will return asking for financial help with a changed attitude.
Manish reveals that Ruhi and Swarna are keeping a secret from him about a guy, but he is determined to uncover it. He discovers Ruhi’s diary, finding a picture inside that falls to the ground. Meanwhile, Armaan, in a fit of anger, finds Abhira’s diary and staples it. Memories of past conversations flood his mind.
As Armaan is about to apply ice to his injury, Ruhi enters, inadvertently getting hurt herself. Apologizing, Manish admits he didn’t see her. He picks up the fallen picture as Armaan offers to help with the ice. Ruhi points out that he’s hurt and angry too. Armaan acknowledges his frustration, citing Abhira’s recent misconduct towards his family. He believes Abhira’s ego led to her actions, lacking practicality.
Understanding his confusion, Ruhi reassures him, urging him not to feel guilty. She pledges to support him in finding a way to help Abhira. Touched, Armaan apologizes for her injury, realizing she’s been taking care of him despite his own struggles.
Manish, examining the picture, is shocked by what he sees, recalling Ruhi’s previous statements. Meanwhile, Abhira, desperate for accommodation, makes several calls. While speaking to her friend Deepti, she notices a man taking her bag.
Swarna suggests having food, but Manish interrupts, demanding to know the name of the guy Ruhi loves, convinced that Swarna knows the truth.
